Dr. Christy Ross is a board certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. Dr. Ross graduated from Creighton University with a doctorate degree in Physical Therapy in 2010. She completed the post-graduate Geriatric Physical Therapy Residency Program at the University of Delaware in 2011. Dr. Ross has been serving individuals with neurodegenerative diseases and their care-partners at the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health since September 2011. She holds certifications as a Certified Dementia Practitioner and Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer from the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners. In 2016, Dr. Ross earned a certificate in Advanced Clinical Dementia Practice from the University of Michigan. She has publications and spoken nationally on the topic of physical therapy functional evaluation and treatment for individuals with cognitive impairment related to neurodegenerative diseases. Dr. Ross is the Vice Chair for the Cognitive and Mental Health Special Interest Group within in the American Physical Therapy Association.
